The reason for this episode’s late release, almost a month to be accurate was brought on by stupid stupid me buying Modern Warfare 2, mere days after bitching and complaining on this new episode. I now take it all back, I love the game and I’m running away to Mexico to have it’s babies. Still, that said, Borderlands is still my #1 pick for this year’s DUG GOTY Awards.

DUG GOTY09 Awards!
Hey guys it’s that time of year again to cast your votes for the Downunder Gamers Game of the Year awards!
Same rules as last year, choose your top 3 games of 2009 (any platform) and rank them in points from 3 to 1. Here’s one I prepared earlier!

So as you can see, in the example I felt Left 4 Dead 2 was the best game of the year. Alright, this year it’s a little different though.
When we record our Xmas Spesh 09, we will also draw a votee from a hat and that person will win a fantastic shirt from our soon to come store! Seriously great prizes here, and yes I will rub my balls on it too if you really want me to!
So let the voting begin, as we dont have a solid schedule yet, the episode will be recorded late December just before Christmas and that’s when we’ll award the DUG GOTY09 winner! YAAAAAY!

State of Play: October 2009
Hey guys, thought I’d just give you all an idea on whats going on with the show, the site and all that.
Firstly, Lex will finally be returning in a matter of weeks now, we discussed it yesterday and he can confirm things will be back to normal for 6 months at least. He has a couple of weeks of finals and all that so if you wanted to send you well wishes, feel free to send through either myself, Ice or via twitter (twitter.com/lex86).
The site has been moved to this location, we just need to line up a few things in regards to design and what else we want to do with our virtual space. We feel now that we are paying for the service we need to get some more out of it so expect to see a feature blog along with maybe a news section too in the very near future. If you guys have any suggestions as to what you want to see, let us know.
Now finally, it’s been a while since we’ve been able to get the show moving again properly, but we have been taking this time to recharge the batteries, you’ll be seeing an episode 18 in the coming days where we were joined by Jon and Kristin from Kicked in the Dicebags, a roleplaying podcast hosted on our parent site Spooky Outhouse.
We would like to the take the opportunity to thank all our loyal listeners, I’m in the process of organising some sort of side-show to help with the load and so you have constant content instead of this current sporadic release schedule where we’ll bring more people in to carry the show, some foreign guests and hopefully some representative from the gaming industry.

Downunder Gamers Show Interview Series: LOTD September ‘09
Hey guys, still without the net on Ice’s end, we’re working to get this new home up and going, finally having a domain and being without those damn hosting issues we’ve had in the past. So without further waiting I present the first Interview Series recorded at LAN of the Damned, a smallish LAN held recently.
